BOMBACE, JENNIE CORRARO Jennie Corraro Bombace, 98, of New Haven, entered into rest on Jan. 8, 2017; loving wife for 69 years of the late Frank R. Bombace, the love of her life; mother of Linda (Tom) McNeff, Gail (Ken) Villani, Marianne (Louis) Apuzzo and Frank (Janet) Bombace. She was predeceased by a daughter, Joan Bombace, PhD; grandmother of Daniel (Loani) McNeff, Thomas (Jeanne) McNeff, Nicholas Bombace, Kyle (Andriana) Bombace, Christopher and Jeffrey Villani, Louis, Kelly and Allison Apuzzo; great-grandmother to Thomas, Cara, Caitlin and Ryan McNeff and Krystyana Robinson. Jennie is also survived by her sister, Dominica Criscuolo. She was predeceased by brothers, A. Clifford, Amadeo (Terry), Albert and Louis Corraro and sister, Margaret Corraro; born Oct. 21, 1918, daughter of the late Domenico & Antoinetta Testa Corraro. Jennie is an aunt to many nieces and nephews. She was truly blessed with her many relatives and friends. She will be missed by all who knew her. Jennie was a parishioner of Saint Joseph’s Church where she served as President of “Our Ladies Guild” and the Social Club. She planned many trips and luncheons for these groups and has made several long lasting friendships. Jennie loved to travel with her daughter, Joan, in the United States and Italy, which she visited many times. She was a past member of The Lioness Club and New Haven Council of Catholic Women. The family would like to express its sincere gratitude for the excellent medical service provided to her during her recent illness. Family and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Joseph’s Church, 129 Edwards St., New Haven, Friday at 10:30 am. Interment will follow at Saint Lawrence Cemetery West Haven. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Saint Jude Children’s Hospital, St. Jude Pl., Memphis,TN 38105.
