Jeni was born on May 16, 2003 in the spring, in a small village in Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province, China. She was delivered into the arms of her loving parents on May 8, Mother's Day, 2004. She is the beloved, cherished, and amazing daughter of Dean R. Plender and Joann Graver Plender, and the BFF sister of Ruby Zhen Plender. Jeni, an outstanding student of Iber Holmes Gove Middle School, participated as an accomplished saxophonist, a member of the Jr. National Honor Society, a two-time recipient of the Friendship Award, and a member of both the basketball and soccer teams. Jeni led her teammates in 2015 to capture the Tri-County Soccer Championship for the first time in the school's history. Jeni began her soccer career at the age of 7 for the Raymond Recreational Travel Soccer Program. Through her personal hard work, determination, and relentless hours of practice in her own backyard and on the fields, she became an elite soccer player. Scouted by GPS of Bedford, Jeni helped them to win the 2016 State Cup and advance to the Nationals in Colorado. She made the Regional and National teams, and was chosen for the squad of 18 elite players in the nation to represent the U.S. in the 2016 Gothia World Cup of Youth Soccer in Sweden. Jeni loves the ocean, fishing, snorkeling, sledding, hiking, camping with her BFFs, and spending time with her family in the outdoors. Jeni's smile lit up the room and faces of all in her presence. She taught and continues to teach everyone the meaning of friendship, humility, thoughtfulness, determination, hard work, perseverance, and success.
