Jeanne A. Pace
Jeanne A. Pace, 89, of East Flat Rock died Wednesday, January 11th, 2017 at the Elizabeth House. She was born in Almond, NC, near Bryson City; a daughter of the late, Hardie William Ammons and Sadie Marie Sawyer Ammons. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Lee "Bill" Pace. Jeanne retired as a Real Estate Broker in Henderson County. She is survived by her two daughters, Alice-Marie Darnell (Tony) of Huntersville and Karen Davis (Gene) of Mills River; two sons, William "Bill" Pace, Jr. (Carolyn) of Durham and Terry Pace (Becky) of Lewisville; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one brother, Hardie Ammons (Eleanor) of Arden; nephews, Jim Ammons of Arden and Steve Ammons of Spartanburg, SC; plus a close life-long friend that was more like a sister, Jessie Crane of Brevard. The funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 15th, 2017 in the Mausoleum Chapel of Shepherd Memorial Park officiated by the Reverend John Mason. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jeanne's memory may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association, 4600 Park Road, Suite 250, Charlotte, NC 28209; or to Four Seasons Hospice Elizabeth House, 571 South Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731.
