Jeanette C. Jones On July 5, 1914, Olaf Storness took his two daughters, Calma and Pearl, out for a walk. When they returned, a new daughter and sister had been born. Her name was Jeanette Constance Storness. As she grew up, she met a young man named William C. Jones. For 66 years they were married until William passed away in 2000. Now, on December 28, 2016, Jeanette went to heaven to join her husband, parents, sisters, brother-in-law, and nieces. As she entered the gates of heaven, Jeanette was greeted with "Praises, Hallelujahs, and Rejoicing." Jeanette was a very kind, caring, loving, and giving wife, mother, and aunt. She had a delightful sense of humor and loved to play cards, especially Bridge. Her faith in God led her life and she served God by being Hope Lutheran Church's secretary for over 30 years. She had a large family of over 60 people. She is survived by four nieces, Lynda McCormick, Nancy Anderson, Diane Bassett-Lynch, and Kathy Stickney; five nephews, Douglas Bassett, Herb Klippert Sr., Del Anderson, David McCormick, Sr., and Richard Hendry. Jeanette has six great-nieces; ten great-nephews; and many more nieces, nephews, and cousins. Jeanette's Celebration of Life will be Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at United Lutheran Church on 76th and Sheridan in Tacoma, WA. Jeanette has asked that memorials be given to United Lutheran or the Talking Book Library in Seattle.
