Jean Elise Bordelon, age 89, passed away on February 12, 2017. She was born in Chicago, IL, on February 26, 1927, but lived most of her life in New Orleans, LA. Beloved child of the late Jean Egli and the late Pansy Pfeffinger and stepdaughter of the late Arnold Pfeffinger. Beloved sister of the late Jeannette Egli. She is survived by her brother Charles Egli (Beverly), her sister Nancy Egli Carter (Bobby), and her sons Alex Correa (Magrid), John H. Correa (Eileen) and Richard A. Bordelon (Virginia). She also is survived by six grandchildren, Jeannine Correa, Michelle Morgan (Mitchell), John B. Correa, Mark Correa, Richard P. Bordelon and Elizabeth Bordelon, and four great-grandchildren. She attended St. Joseph Academy in New Orleans and Loyola University New Orleans, receiving a bachelor of science in medical technology. She was a long-time employee of Hotel Dieu Hospital and University Medical Center, from which she retired in 1991 after 40 years in the profession. She was a long-time member of the choir at Our Lady of the Rosary Parish and a member of the Papal Choir for St. John Paul II's Mass at the University of New Orleans. She also was a member of and past president of the Metropolitan Women's Club. Visitation will be at St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church, 6666 Spanish Fort Blvd., New Orleans, LA, on Friday, February 17, from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., followed by the celebration of Mass at 11 a.m. Burial at Hope Mausoleum.
