TUCKER, Jane, age 85 of Cowan, passed away after a short illness at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville on Wednesday, April 12, 2017, one day before her 86th birthday. At Jane's request, there will be a small family memorial after her cremation where her ashes will be laid to rest with her husband. Jane was born on April 13, 1931 in Washington D.C. to Kenneth L. and Constance J. Nelson. She was a member of the Cowan Cumberland Presbyterian Church for many years. She was an LPN by trade. She was a loving mother respected by all. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, quilting, traveling and reading. Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth L. and Constance J. Nelson; her husband of 62 years, Raymond L. (Chick) Tucker; brother, Ed Nelson of St. Petersburg, Florida and Sonny Nelson (killed in WWII); and sisters, Katrina Twinem of Huntsville, Alabama and Marie Duncan of Maryland. Jane is survived by a daughter, Betty (Paul) Patterson of Daphne, Alabama and their children, Leslie Johnson and Mike Patterson; son, Raymond Bubby (Mitzi) Tucker of Decherd and their children, Jody Tucker, Heather Tucker and Nicole Hickerson; son, Kenneth Scott (Kim) Tucker and their children, Garrett and Gavin Tucker; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Jane's wishes were to have no visitation or services.
