Jane B. Jandrlich
Funeral mass will be Tuesday at 4 p.m. at St. James Catholic Church for Jane B. Jandrlich, 90, of Gadsden, who passed away Friday, April 14, 2017. Father Joel Martin will officiate. Interment will be in Rainbow Memorial Gardens. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing. Jane Jandrlich married Frank Jandrlich on Feb. 2, 1946 in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. They lived in cities from Pittsburgh to Savannah settling in Gadsden in 1968. Jane was very active in her church, supporting causes such as The Center for Concern and knitting shawls and covers for newborns. She was very active and held two jobs up until last December. She worked at her daughter's daycare and her son's veterinarian clinic. She made and kept many friends from all walks of life and ages. She said this kept her "young" and she truly was young in spirit. Frank died in 2001. Jane is survived by her five children and their spouses: Michael and Harriet Jandrlich, who live in Savannah, Georgia, Robert and Carol Jandrlich, who live in Washington, D.C., Nancy McClain, who lives in Attalla, Dr. Mark Jandrlich and his wife Jo Jandrlich, who live in Gadsden, Susan and Scott Rikansrud, who live in Gadsden; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Jane maintained a close relationship with her family and was instrumental in supporting the entire family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Central Valley Animal Hospital Adopt-A-Pal Adoption Center. Pallbearers will be members of her family and the Knights of Columbus. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Eva Rogers, Annie Rogers, and Tammy Parker. The family will receive friends at St. James Catholic Church Tuesday at 2 p.m. until the hour of service.
