JAMES THOMAS "JIM" MAYBERRY
DELAWARE — James Thomas "Jim" Mayberry, 70, of Delaware, passed away late Monday afternoon, Jan. 9, 2017 at his residence. He was born March 12, 1946 in Delaware to the late James J. Mayberry and Iola Jean (Fawcett) Mayberry. He later graduated from Dublin High School in 1964 and served his country as a member of the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Jim worked for Ranco Manufacturing in Plain City for 38 years and he enjoyed fishing, hunting, gun and coin collecting. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles and Harley Davidson. He was a life member of the VFW Post No. 3297 of Delaware and a member of the Prospect American Legion Post No. 368, Amvets Post No. 104 of Delaware and the Loyal Order of Moose Marysville Lodge No. 1651. Left to cherish his memory is his son, Chad (Kara) Mayberry of Marysville; daughter, Carman (Mark) Caner of Cincinnati and Bridget Berry of Delaware; grandchildren, Austin Mayberry, Anthony and Kelsey Caner and Samuel and Maxwell Berry; brother, Butch Mayberry of Marysville; nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his brother, Barry Mayberry; and a grandson, William Berry. The family will receive friends on Thursday, Jan. 12, 2017 from 4-8 p.m. at the Snyder Rodman Funeral Center, 101 Valleyside Drive (formerly 1510 W. William St.), Delaware, and where funeral services will be held on Friday, Jan. 13, 2017 at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Forest Grove Cemetery in Plain City with military honors provided at graveside. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jim's memory may be made to the funeral home to assist with expenses.
