MADRID, James James Madrid, a longtime Petaluma resident, died Wednesday at his home surrounded by family. He was 73. Jim, to all his friends, was born May, 2 1943 in San Francisco, CA. He attended Corpus Christi grammar school and later Archbishop Riordan High School, Class of 1961. Jim served in the National Guard and later spent 30+ years as a proud member of Local #104 Sheet Metal Workers Union. Jim worked as a foreman for Thoma Sheet Metal and later become owner operator before retiring in 1995. Long standing member of the Petaluma Moose and Elks Lodge #901, Jim enjoyed cooking and running Veterans night. Jim was an avid golfer and member of Rooster Run golf club. Jim is survived by his children Steve and Carrie Madrid. Grandchildren Darren, Anthony, Kristy, Mailisa and Olivia. Sisters Edna, Helen and Susie (who gave Jim a kidney which allowed us another 10 wonderful years with him). Friends and family are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Parent-Sorensen Mortuary & Crematory, 850 Keokuk St., Petaluma, CA. 94952.
