Dr. James John Laubham Jr.
Laubham, Dr. James John Jr. 84, of Phoenix, AZ passed away on October 10, 2016. Dr. James Laubham left us for Paradise to be with our Lord on Columbus Day. "Sonny" as he was called, became the first in his family to graduate from college and became a dental surgeon for the U.S. Army, achieving the rank of Colonel. While stationed in Germany, he once was called to perform dental surgery on Bing Crosby's son, there with the USO. Sonny had a brilliant mind (reading encyclopedias was a favorite pastime) and imparted a deep love of learning to his lifelong sweetheart and wife, Clara and his posterity . We lived in a smaller home so he could take his family around the world and open our hearts and minds. During Christmas, he anonymously went into Guadalupe to give money away and on our travels more alms were given than souvenirs purchased. His favorite admonishment was to, "Love one another". James was an ordinary man who, indeed, lived an extraordinary life. He and his wife of 63 years, Clara built a home of love that grew into a mansion. Well done, Dad! We all love you forever and will see you when we get there! Preceded in death by parents James and Sophia Laubham, sister Audrey Gallo. Survived by his wife and love Clara, children James (Gina), Terri Balliet (Glenn), Sandi (Brent), Keith (Nancy), many grandchildren, great-grand-children, nieces, nephews and four of his siblings.
