JAMES THOMAS MICHAEL KROMKA of Norco, CA, was born on March 10, 1954 in Phoenix, AZ and entered eternal life on Oct. 7, 2016 at Corona Reg. Med. Ctr. due to complications of a stroke and massive heart attack. Jim had been on kidney dialysis for 13 years. The family moved to Riverside in 1968. From age 11 Jim played the drums. He spent hours in practice and became a extraordinary percussionist in his lifetime. He drummed in various groups over the years and was the original drummer for the popular high school group "Ivan Saunders". In 1972 Jim graduated from Ramona High School and entered the field of commercial art. During his over 40 years as a commercial artist Jim did advertising, illustration and design work for many companies and organizations including: Bourns, Carnation, Corona This Month Magazine, Walt Disney Enterprises, Fleetwood Enterprises, Glen Ivy Resorts, Lilly Tulip, The Press-Enterprise, Rad Sports Gear, and Robert Shaw Controls, to name a few. Jim loved all animals and his life in Norco. He was an active member of RURAL (Residents of Norco Urging a Rural Animal Keeping Lifestyle) and participated as his heath permitted. Jim was a brilliant, creative and talented man with a wonderful sense of humor. He will be missed by all those who knew and loved him, especially his devoted wife of 31 years, Linda. He also leaves behind his mother, Marianne Chaney; sister, Barbara (Mike); his uncle Al (Sharon) and his cousins. A celebration of Jim's life will be held at Norco Family Funeral Home, 2645 Hamner Ave., Norco, CA 92860 on Sunday, October 23, 2016 at 1pm.
