KOSAKOWSKI JAMES "JIM" Age 68, of Plum, PA died peacefully on January 7, 2017. Born in Pittsburgh on March 29, 1948. Son of the late Genevieve Lach and Frank Kosakowski; brother to Thomas Kosakowski and Joyce Cushing (Joe Cushing); beloved husband of 47 years to Theresa Talotta and cherished father to Heather Leo (Patrick Leo); loving grandfather to Marcus and Anna Leo; brother-in-law to Gerald Talotta and the late Shirley Ann Cephas. Also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews. After graduating from Central Catholic High School and Gateway Technical Institute, Jim worked at the Alcoa Technical Center for 29 years serving in Research and Development as an Electronics Technician. After retiring from Alcoa, he worked for the Neurological Science Center in Oakland as a Systems Administrator in various areas for 16 years. His biggest passion was singing in the choirs at Our Lady of Joy Parish in Plum and helping his wife as an assistant teacher in the Religious Education Program. Jim will always be remembered for his great Sense of Humor and his ability to get people to laugh. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cancer Caring Center in Bloomfield in his name. Friends welcome in the ALFIERI FUNERAL HOME, 201 Marguerite Ave., Wilmerding, 412-824-4332 on Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. and on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Joy Parish, Plum. Entombment will follow in Good Shepherd Cemetery, Monroeville.
