Mr. James Wesley "Red" Holloway
STATESBORO, Ga. -- Mr. James Wesley "Red" Holloway, age 79, passed into rest Saturday, February 11, 2017, at the East Georgia Regional Medical Center after an extended illness. He was a Bulloch County native and at an early age, he became a member of the St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church. He was a retired farmer and worked for Brannen Farms for many years. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Alether Holloway, Statesboro, Ga.; daughters, Gwendolyn H. McCollum and Erma Holloway West, both of Statesboro, Ga.; a son, Rodney Holloway, Statesboro, Ga.; four grandchildren, Shakoriah (Alvin) McCollum, Frenchy West, Fanchon Robinson and Rajari Brunson; three great-grandchildren, Destiny Hayes, Lyric Mitchell and Jamal Hayes; a host of other relatives and friends. Family visitation will be held Friday evening from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the chapel of Hill's Mortuary, Inc. The funeral service for Mr. Holloway will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, February 18, 2017, in the Ben Samuel Hill Memorial Chapel of Hill's Mortuary, Inc. with the Rev. Maurice Hill officiating. Burial will be held in the Springhill Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. Final rites have been entrusted to Hill's Mortuary, Inc.
