James C. "Jim" Hanson
James C. "Jim" Hanson James C. Hanson "Jim" passed away on April 11, 2017 at the age of 87. His family will miss him but know that this is a temporary separation, as Jim has gone to be with God and we will see him again there. Jim is survived by: his wife of 63 years, Kathleen; his son, Matthew; his daughter, Deborah; grandchildren, Lauren, Blake, and Kasey; and brother, Dan. Jim grew up in Framingham, MA on the Hanson family farm, a farm that has been in his family for over 100 years. His parents, Carl and Dot, had six sons, Gordon, James "Jim", Kenneth "Kenny", Dan, Charles, and George. Jim has many nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and nephews. Jim was an acomplished athlete in football, hockey, and baseball that culiminated in his being awarded,in his senior year, the top high-school athlete in the city of Framingham. Jim served his country in the Army's 503rd Airborne Infantry Regiment of the 11th Airborne Division at Fort Campbell, KY, earning his parachutist Jump Wings. His career spanned that of a leader of store operations for King's Department stores in the early days of discount retail to a latter career as an insurance agent with Farm Bureau. Jim has lived in the Toledo/Perrysburg, OH area for 29 years, and has been an active member of his Lutheran church. Jim loved sports and was an accomplished golfer; he spread his love of the game to his daughter and grandaughters. Jim was a dedicated husband and father and his leadership made those around him and in his care better. Services for Jim will be private. Arrangements by Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, Maumee.
