JAMES J. DIERSING
James Joseph "Jim" Diersing, of Davie, Florida, formerly of Hialeah, Florida passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Sunday, October 16, 2016 following a courageous battle with lung cancer. He was 66 years of age.Born in Albany, New York on January 7, 1950, son of Herman and Rosemary (Hagen) Diersing. At the age of 8, Jim and his family moved to Hialeah where he was raised and graduated from Hialeah High School, class of 1968.At the time of his death, Jim was President of the South Florida Masters Bowling Association, which he founded in 1981. It is the longest running bowling tournament in the state of Florida.Survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Marlene (Richards) Diersing, devoted children, Michelle Rodriguez (Jose Rodriguez) and Jamie Diersing, his grandson, Jesse Rodriguez. He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Marilyn Diersing in 1985. Also his parents and brothers, Ken and Jack Diersing. Visitation on Wednesday, October 19th from 6:00 ~ 9:00 P.M. at Fred Hunters University Drive Home, 2401 South University Drive, Davie. A Mass to follow on Thursday at 11:00 A.M. at St. David Catholic Church, 3900 South University Drive, Davie. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
