James Adair BLUE SPRINGS - James Adair, 93, passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2016, at the North Mississippi Medical Center Hospice Unit. He retired from Daybrite Lighting after 23 years and he was a farmer. He loved his children, and grandchildren and he enjoyed gardening and was an avid Atlanta Braves baseball fan. He was a former member and deacon of Beech Springs Baptist Church and he was a member at Jericho Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at Waters Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 19, 2016, at 11 a.m. with Bro. Harold Adair, Bro. Marvin Robbins and Bro. Felix Hutcheson Jr. officiating with burial in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery. He is survived by two sons, Harold Adair (Ann) of Tupelo and Rickey Adair (Sarah) of New Albany; one daughter, Susan Spence of Blue Springs; daughter-in-law, Hellen Adair, Saltillo; nine grandchildren, Tim Adair (Sara), Sheila Fowler (Jeff), Tracey Marshall (Freddy), Lesley Stanford (Chris), Carey Adair (Alesha), Nathan Adair, Kristy Hamby, Heather Deese (John) and Austin Copeland; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Roberts Adair; parents, James Monroe and Lillian Hutcheson Adair; children, Sarah Norris and Jerry Adair; two sons-in-law, Aaron Spence and Tyson Norris; and two infant grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Tim Adair, Jeff Fowler, Austin Copeland, Carey Adair, Tyler Fowler and Kyle Horton. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at Waters Funeral Home.
