Jacquelyn (Robidoux) Peterson, 60, of West Hartford, died peacefully on Wednesday, April 19, 2017. Born in Hartford, she was raised in Newington and graduated from Newington High School in 1975. Jackie raised her children in Farmington before moving to West Hartford. She was formerly employed for many years by the University of St. Joseph as a job coach for students with disabilities at the Gengras Center. She was the owner of the Artichoke Clothing Store in West Hartford Center and was currently employed by Middlebury Consignment. She loved scrapbooking, spending time in her garden and especially loved her devoted Yorkie Fifi. Jackie was a die-hard liberal Democrat, who spent months in 2008, campaigning across the country for Barack Obama. We will miss her funky enthusiasm and her eternal optimism. She leaves her beloved mother Carol (Chamberland) deBear and her husband Larrye of Rocky Hill, and her father Richard E. Robidoux of Tequesta, FL. A loving mother and grandmother, she leaves her daughter Jessica Chirdon and her husband Matthew of West Hartford, and her son Eric Peterson and Christine Plourde, and her son William of New Britain; and two granddaughters, Lillian Marie Chirdon and Julia Rose Chirdon. She also leaves two sisters and brothers-in-law Mary and Stephen Woods of Newington, and Nancy and Tony Guerrera of Rocky Hill; nieces and nephews, Dana and Maura Woods, Tessa Woods, Victoria and Jackson Oliveira, Laura Guerrera and Joseph Guerrera; and her former husband Charles "Chick" Kehoe of Simsbury. She was pre-deceased by Brian Peterson. Her funeral service will be held on Monday, April 24, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at Church of Christ, Congregational, 1075 Main St., Newington, with Rev. Melanie Enfield officiating. She will be laid to rest privately. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Sunday from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Newington Memorial Funeral Home, 20 Bonair Ave., Newington.
