Kimball, Jacquelyn Mary On January 6th Jacquelyn Mary Kimball was called to join her infant daughter, Ann and eldest son Samuel in the Great Beyond. Jackie was the second daughter of Marie (Heidemann) and Jerome Sorensen born Dec. 5, 1931 here in Appleton. She attended schools in Appleton and graduated in June 1953 from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh and began her teaching career at public and private schools of Appleton. She loved the years she spent and the moms she met at the Appleton Nursery Inc. On Thanksgiving Day, November 25, 1954 she married Harry C. Kimball. They had seven children together and now have nine grandchildren. Jackie was the heart and soul of her large family and took great pride in taking care of them. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, sharing her "words of wisdom" and attending as many sporting events or activities as possible. She was a wonderful cook and baker. Being snowbirds, together with Harry, they spent many winters in Panama City Beach, FL where they enjoyed the warmth, sunsets, and watching the dolphins. Jackie was a friend to many and being a devout Catholic, she never missed weekend or Holy Day Masses. She is survived by her husband Harry, four daughters and son. Jody (Glenn) Sprotte; Tobin (Kris) Kimball and their children, Adam and Ethan (Erin); Amy (Russell) Volp and their children, Reece and Samantha; Naomi Harris and her children, Dru, Ana, and Teá; Kathy (Mark) Hinze and their children, Kyla and Lilia. Friday January 13, 2017 9-11am visitation, 11 o'clock mass, and luncheon to follow mass at St. Bernard's 1617 W. Pine st. Appleton.
