Jacqueline E. Mansbach Longtime Shabazz High School math teacher Jacqueline E. Mansbach (nee Ehrich), 91, of Maplewood, N.J., died on Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2017, at Winchester Gardens in Maplewood. Graveside services will be held at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, Iselin, N.J., on Friday, Jan. 13, at 1 p.m. Arrangements are by the Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union. Jacqueline was a mathematics teacher at Malcolm X Shabazz High School (formerly South Side High School) in Newark, N.J., for over 25 years, retiring in 1987. She earned a bachelor's degree in education from Montclair State University in 1946, and a master's degree in guidance from Kean University in the 1970s. She was a member of the Forum of Millburn. Born in Newark, Jacqueline lived in South Orange and Union, N.J., before moving to Maplewood 10 years ago. Surviving are her sons, Gary Mansbach and his wife, Susan, and Ronald Mansbach and his wife, Ellen; her former daughter-in-law, Mary-Jo Kelly, and her grandchildren, Teresa, Patricia, and James. She was predeceased by her brother, Melvin Ehrich.
