Jack Potashkin Member of B'nai Brith for over 50 years, 92 Jack Potashkin, 92, of Springfield, N.J., passed away on Jan. 9, 2017, at home. Services will be held today, Jan. 11, at 1 p.m. at J.L. Apter Memorial Chapels, 486 Pompton Ave., Cedar Grove, N.J., with interment to follow at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery in Iselin, N.J. Jack was predeceased by his beloved wife, Joyce, and is survived by daughters, Mindy Potashkin, Shelley (Michael) Rothberg, and Ellen (Ed) Stahler, as well as grandchildren David, Jamie, and Lindsay, and his adoring dog, Eva Rose. Born in Bayonne, N.J., Jack graduated from John Marshall Law School, was a Navy veteran serving in the D-Day invasion of France, and rose to the position of vice president at Sarasohn and Co., public insurance adjustors. He was with B'nai Brith for more than 50 years, serving as president of the former Hillside lodge and received Man of the Year from the Springfield lodge.
