Jack Alfred Banks LUBBOCK-Jack Alfred Banks, 87, of Lubbock, Texas, passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2017, in Lubbock. He was born in Lawrence, KS, on Sept. 9, 1929, to Charles Alfred and Nola Banks. Jack began school in Kansas, and moved to Clovis, NM, during high school, where he sang in the choir and played clarinet. He was married to Audrey Porter on Sept. 18, 1949. They were married for nearly 64 years. Jack worked as a bookkeeper for several companies. He was a Deacon at First Baptist Church where he took part in a Thursday Prayer group, a member of Kiwanis, and loved big land boats, especially Lincoln Continentals. He is survived by his sons, RC Banks and Alan and Phyllis Banks; and his grandchildren, Eva Neveau, Travis Banks, and Carley Banks. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 17th, at Resthaven Funeral Home. A celebration of Jack's life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 18th, at First Baptist Church with burial following at Resthaven. Online condolences may be offered on our website at .
