Mar. 22, 1931 - Oct. 16, 2016 Irlene Jeanette Shaperson Frazier went home to be the Lord on Sunday, October 16th. Mrs. Frazier was a native of Orangeburg, South Carolina, where she received her early education. Mrs. Frazier earned a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education at Claflin University in Orangeburg, SC. She received a Master's degree from Alabama A&M University and taught Special Education in the Huntsville City School System. She served as a member of First Church of God in Christ, and later at Harvest Time Church, both in Huntsville. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Dr. Leon Frazier; two daughters, Angela Jennings of Orangeburg, SC and Celeste Mathews of Huntsville, and a son, Christopher of Cedar Park, TX; three grandchildren, Wrandetta Mastin, Hasani Jennings and Nytasha Mathews; and a host of great-grandchildren, relatives and friends. Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Friday, October 21st at True Light Church of God in Christ, 6830 Pulaski Pike, NW, Huntsville with Dr. Terrell Harris officiating. Interment will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens. Mrs. Frazier will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral time.
