Irene Cole, 106, passed peacefully from this earth with loved ones surrounding her in Ft. Worth, Texas on February 11, 2017. Graveside service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Fairview Cemetery in Midland. Viewing will be from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home and Crematory in Midland. Irene was born on June 27, 1910 in Kerens, Texas to Sallie and M.O. Holiman. Irene and her one true love, Bill Cole, were married February 22, 1930 in Midland and were together for 63 wonderful years. They had two children, Kay and Buddy. Irene was a member of First Baptist Church in Midland for 83 years and was a faithful member of the Rebecca Sunday School Class. Irene is survived by her daughter, Kay Bangert and husband Bruce of Ft. Worth; son, Buddy Cole and wife Trenia of Midland; grandchildren, Ben Bangert and wife Katie of Ft. Worth, Courtney Lunsford and husband Brent of Midland, Landi Roark and husband Ian of Tucson, Arizona, and Tye Orr and wife Whitney of Midland; great-grandchildren, Lexie, Morgan and Clara Bangert of Ft. Worth, Chloe and Cole Lunsford of Midland, Malone and Gavin Roark of Tucson, and Logan and Ali Orr of Midland; two beloved nieces, Frances Mitchell of San Marcos, Texas and Sylvia Hunter of Midland; and by a nephew, Clayton Holiman of Longview, Texas. Irene was preceded in death by W.N. (Bill) Cole; her parents, Sallie and M.O. Holiman; and by three brothers and one sister. Irene's most joyful times were spending time with her family. She was given many names - loving and adored wife, beloved Mother, devoted and precious MaMa, and faithful friend. But to all who knew her she was simply a very special lady, always kind, generous, loving, and caring. Memorial donations may be made to Mission Hospice in Ft. Worth.
