CARVER, Irene Isobell 68, died after a brief illness. Born in South Portland, Maine, raised in Watertown, MA, lived most of her adult life in the west coast, and most recently in Ashland, Oregon. She is survived by her daughter, Leah Underdown and her son, Dax of Maui, Hawaii, also by her son, Ben Driscoll and his son, Chase, also of Maui. She was predeceased by her son, Paul Magrath, of Maui. Her granddaughter, Cassidy Magrath, resides in Tacoma, WA. In addition to her children, Irene leaves her sisters, Janet Maloney of Fishkill, NY, Kerry Ann Washburn of Swampscott, MA, Kathleen Genovese of Woburn, MA and Denise Carver of Watertown, and her brothers, John Carver of Winthrop, MA and Barry Carver of Tewksbury, MA. She is a graduate of Mt. Trinity Academy in Watertown and attended Boston State College. She spent most of her life working in the Healing Arts Community and was the owner of the Healing Arts Center in Yreka, CA, where she was a polarity therapist and Reiki master. She devoted most of her last years writing her book, a memoir entitled, "One Good Tree". The book is available for sale commercially. A gathering of family and friends will take place on Sunday, January 15 at 2PM at Stanton Funeral Home, 786 Mt. Auburn Street, (Rt. 16), WATERTOWN.
