Ida M. Villodas Ida M. Villodas, 93, a retired bookkeeper and secretary from Suffern, NY died January 12, 2017 at Somers Manor Nursing Home, Somers, NY. She was born July 10, 1923 in Puerto Rico, the daughter of Manuel Lopez and Salvadora Cintron and shortly thereafter she and her family moved to New York City where she grew up and graduated from Morris High School in the Bronx. She married Anthony Villodas in 1948 and lived in several areas of the country including Dallas, Los Angeles, Denver before moving and settling in the NY area. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also loved traveling and over her lifetime visited Europe, Mexico, Hawaii and the Caribbean. She is survived by her sons Anthony J. Villodas and his wife Carol of Easton, CT, Timothy Villodas and his wife Maria of Katonah, NY, Robert Villodas of Peekskill, NY and her daughter Francine Villodas of San Diego, CA. She leaves behind her ten beloved grandchildren: Christian, Lauren, Austin, Victoria, Reid, Ashley, Molly and Henry Villodas and Brian and Heather Plutchok. She was predeaseced by her husband Anthony Villodas, sisters Elizabeth San Miguel and Olga Villodas and grandson Blake Villodas. Visitation will be held from 2 to 6pm, Sunday, January 15, at Yorktown Funeral Home 945 East Main Street Shrub Oak, NY 10588. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:30am on Monday, January 16 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 95 Plum Brook Rd. Somers, NY. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 26 Broadway, 14th Floor, New York, NY 10004.
