Howard W. VanHorn
Howard W. Van Horn Howard W. Van Horn passed away at the age of 91 on April 3, 2017 in Renton, Washington. Howard served during WWII in the U.S. Navy Seabees. He retired after a long career with Pacific NW Bell and from there moved on to a short career with Boeing. Howard was an avid outdoors man. Howard is survived by his son, Greg Van Horn (Maria) and daughter, Barbara Wiley; grandchildren, Tyler Van Horn, Laura Gallino (Sam), Nicholas Wiley, Rebecca Wiley and Alexander Wiley; great granddaughter, Lorelai Wiley; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth McCammon Van Horn. Viewing and Rosary on April 20, 2017 from 6:00-8:00pm at Edline-Yahn & Covington Funeral Chapel, 27221 156th Avenue SE, Kent, WA 98042. Interment and Military Honors on April 21, 2017 at 9:30am at Tahoma National Cemetery, 18600 SE 240th St., Kent, WA 98042. Memorial Mass will follow at 11:30am at Saint Philomena Catholic Church, 1790 S 222nd St., Des Moines, WA 98198 with a reception following.
