Herman Leon Billy, 77, of Howe passed away Thursday, Jan. 5, 2017, in Fort Smith, Ark. Herman was born April 14, 1939, in Poteau to Calvin Simon and Louise (Kellogg) Billy. He was a concrete finisher. Herman was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Herman Jr. and Nathan Billy; brother, Calvin Billy; sister, Eva Sweat. Survivors include his wife, Clemmy Billy of the home; five daughters, Eva Sims of Monroe, Avo Wilson of Howe, Joey Riley of Wister, Lea Wilde of Howe, Terrie Billy of California; son, Warren Billy of Howe; grandchildren, Kaylub, Jeremy and Derrick Sims, Haley, Adam Jr. James, Devin and Emma Wilson, Coda Jr., Kyle and Destiny Riley, Bryce and Brennen Trent, Tara Ross, Taylor and Sean Wilde, Brandy Davis, Lisa, Amber and David Billy; five great-grandchildren; brother, Lowell Billy of Cameron; sisters, Celia Hicks of Mounds, Joyce Horne of Huber Heights, Ohio, Deborah Erdmann of Lucern, Calif., Violet Fortner of Tulsa, Dovie Horton of Claremore, Avo Dehart of Colorado Springs, Colo.; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, loved ones and friends. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10, at First Baptist Church in Heavener with the Rev. Sam Dyer officiating. Burial will be in Glendale Mount View Cemetery, Wister. Pallbearers will be Adam and James Wilson, Kaylub, Jeremy and Derrick Sims and Kyle Riley.
