Henry Grady Martin, 90, of Morristown, passed away on Oct. 18, 2016 after a brief illness. He was born in Atlanta, Ga. on May 5, 1926 to the late Grady and Mae Martin. He was a proud Army Veteran of World War II. He was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church and a retiree of Roadway Express. Henry enjoyed his 30 years of retirement with many hobbies he pursued, one of which included wood working. He left behind many hand-made pieces for his family to enjoy. Henry was a loving father, brother, grandfather and great-grandfather. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Milton Martin; and son-in-law, James Boyd. Those left to cherish his memory are his only daughter, Pamela Boyd; siblings, Margaret Hubbard, Mary Wood, Roy Martin, Raymond Martin, Juanita Ash and Martha Hayes; grandchildren, Kim Boyd and Amy Guinn; his great-grandchildren, Amanda and Nichols Guinn, who were the lights of his life; and several nieces and nephews. The family will be receiving friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21 at Mayes Mortuary in Morristown. The service will be immediately following with the Rev. Bryan Wyke officiating. Graveside services will be at Bethesda Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be contributed to the Window Fund at Centenary United Methodist Church, Morristown. Arrangements by MAYES MORTUARY.
