Henry Gryn was born of Polish descent in Stuttgart, Germany on October 11, 1944, the son of Peter and Regina Gryn. He came to the United States with his parents in 1949. Henry passed away October 19, 2016 at his Grosse Pointe Farms home with his family at his side. Henry received his Bachelor's degree in Industrial Management from Central Michigan University. He worked for Chrysler Corporation from 1985 – 2007 specializing in the area of quality control and retired in 2007 after 22 years of faithful service. Henry enjoyed travelling, both domestically and internationally. He could name each of the thirty-seven countries he visited. He enjoyed spending time outdoors including hunting and camping. He served his country in Viet Nam, earning a Purple Heart. Henry liked to dance, laugh and spend time with his family, friends and grandchildren. His family said that he truly enjoyed life and in his own words lived a full and good life. Henry is survived by his beloved wife Elizabeth, his loving daughters Pamela Sylver (Michael) and Marcia Isserstedt (Mark) and son Andrew Grunyk. Grandchildren: Nina, Izabela, Parker, and Paige. Brother John Gryn (Danuata). Henry is predeceased by his daughter Lisa Grunyk and his dear first wife Jasia Gryn. Family and friends will gather 9:30 am Monday, October 24, 2016 in the gathering area to bid farewell before the commencing of the funeral Mass 10:00 am at St. Paul on the Lake Catholic Church, 157 Lakeshore, Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan.
