Henk Vanderlinde, born 1937 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, passed away April 9, 2017 in Glenview. He graduated from a technical college and served in the Dutch army for two years before immigrating to the United States in 1963. Henk settled in Chicago where he was employed as a machine designer and draftsman. He married Jean Kalmbach in 1975. A talented musician, Henk played at the Northwest Ballet Academy as a rehearsal pianist, played many private events, and was a member of the Piano Ensemble at Harper College in Palatine, Illinois. Henk loved to travel, and he and Jean took many trips and tours around the world. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hendrik and Agniet Vanderlinde of the Netherlands and his sister, Jeannette Boersema of Chicago. He is survived by his former wife Jean Vanderlinde, his brother-in-law Richard Boersema, his nieces Annette (Mark) Klappauf and Wendy (Mark) Rappel, and his nephew Richard (Jacqueline Nemec) Boersema, great nieces Ashley and Suzanne Klappauf, and great nephews Jason Klappauf and Jackson Rappel.
