Sexton Helen S. Sexton. Helen passed away peacefully at home on October 13, 2016 at the age of 91, the beloved wife of the late Robert W. Sexton (for fifty years); cherished mother of Jessica Baach (Thomas), Robert (Ana), F. Oliver (Ann), Peter (Elizabeth), Mark (Susan), and Monica; loving grandmother of 17; and great-grandmother of 23. She was born February 25, 1925 in Newark, NJ, to Frank and Mary Seedlock, a devoted sister to older siblings Robert, Walter, and Mary Anne Seedlock (all predeceased). In her youth, she was a national champion speed skater. She graduated from Notre Dame College in Cleveland and in 1946 married Rob who served in the Pacific in WWII along with her brothers. While raising six children, she taught school at St Clement's in Lakewood, Ohio. In retirement, Helen and Rob worked with Youth With a Mission in Europe and the US, and in her late seventies, Helen lived in Budapest, Hungary for 5 years doing missionary work. Helen had a passion to share her love and deep faith in Christ with everyone she met. She treasured the time she spent with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and her nieces and nephews. She was always wondrous of the beauty of God's creation and used her gifts of gardening, sewing, hospitality, and serving others to His glory. A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, November 5, 2016 at St. Brendan the Navigator Church, Hilliard, Ohio at 10:30 a.m. The family will be available to receive friends at the church prior to the service on Saturday morning from 9:30-10:30 a.m. A private interment will follow in the near future in Tucson, Arizona.
