Helen O'Bremski, 93, of the Hanover section of Nanticoke, passed away Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017. She was born in the Hanover section of Nanticoke to the late John and Anna Layczysen (Belitsa) Bylica. Helen attended Nanticoke schools, was a member of Transfiguration of Our Lord Ukrainian Catholic Church and was an active member of St. Ann's Guild and Our Lady of Perpetual Help. She participated in church activities such as making bread, pierogis and potato pancakes for many years at the church festival. Helen worked in a handkerchief factory, General Cigar and Daro Blouse. Helen was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Theodore Victor; her sisters, Elizabeth, Ann, Mary, Eva and Olga; and her brother, Theodore. Surviving are her daughters, Denise Kaminsky, State College; and Joyce Doughty, Chantilly, Va.; her son, Robert, Las Vegas, Nev.; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Transfiguration of Our Lord Ukrainian Catholic Church, 240 Center St., Nanticoke, at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Funeral arrangements are by Stanley S.
