Mom passed away peacefully surrounded by family after nearly 90 years of much love, laughter, and joy. She was born into a large family in Toledo, Oregon. After many years, she met and married her soul mate, Harold Mannhalter with whom she spent over 50 years with until his passing in 2012. Life took them in many directions, including Anchorage, Alaska where they spent many years as restaurant owners. They found a passion for fishing there which carried over to their retirement in Corvallis, Oregon. They bought a boat and went on many fishing adventures. Her other great love was baseball. After Harold's death, she graced her son and daughter-in-law by moving to Everett, WA, to live with them. She rooted for the Mariners, but watched all the baseball she could. Those years were few, but will be cherished forever. She leaves behind her children, Norm (Barb), Jane (Dale); sisters, Ann and Josephine; brother, George (Lee); brother-in-law, Donald; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and her best friend, Gene. It was an honor to have her in our lives, and she will always be loved.
