Helen W. Huffman Age: 81 • Staunton Helen Ruth (Wiseman) Huffman, 81, widow of John Joseph "Joe" Huffman, of Plaza Apartments, Staunton died Sunday, January 8, 2017. She was born May 16, 1935, in Churchville, a daughter of the late Carl F. and Ruth (Rankin) Wiseman. She was a member of the Stuarts Draft Full Gospel Church for many years. She loved reading her Bible and going to church. She thoroughly enjoyed flower gardening and every summer would have a beautiful display for her and her neighbors to enjoy. Family members include three sons and two daughters-in-law, John Lee and Brenda Huffman of Lyndhurst and Roy Steven Huffman of Stuarts Draft and Gary Eugene and Christa Huffman of Staunton; six daughters, Susan Ann Huffman of Greenville, Sandra K. and Tommy Whitten of Fairfield, Teresa Fay and Ricky Lucas of Greenville, Velda Gay Hollingsworth of Waynesboro, Mary Lynn and Travis Neese of Nelson County, and Rebecca Ruth and Randy Tomlin of Stuarts Draft; 19 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; and two great great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind a very special friend, Ella Jordan, who was her inspiration and the light in her life for many years. Helen was also preceded in death by her son, James Huffman; two sisters, Ruby Bartley and Katherine Earhart; and two brothers, Clarence Wiseman and Carl Wiseman. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 13, 2017 in Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens by the Rev. Bill Watson. Active pallbearers will be Randy Tomlin, Travis Neese, Joe Huffman, Corey Lucas, John Griffin, and Aaron Griffin. The Family is receiving friends at Henry Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 on Thursday evening, January 12, 2017. The Family extends heartfelt appreciation to Pastor Bill Watson and his wife, Anita for all their love and support during her illness.
