Penny Gaskill passed away at the age of 86 from cancer at the Skagit Valley Hospital. Penny was born on May 17, 1930, in Vancouver, Washington, to Prescott Kanarr and Helen Stone. She married Richard Smith and was later divorced. He passed in 1982. In 1983, she married Roderic Gaskill of Vancouver, Washington. Penny worked at First American National Bank and Seafirst National Bank in Port Townsend and Port Angeles. She was also a member of the Eastern Star Port Townsend and the Key City Players. She was on the advisory board for the Rainbow Girls Assembly No. 40. Penny enjoyed gardening, fishing and crabbing. She is survived by her stepsons Paul, Greg and Scott Gaskill; her daughters, Wendy (Rick) Mueller and Carolyn (Greg) Colburn; stepdaughter Jane Dron; stepgrandchild Matthew Colburn; along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roderic Gaskill, and brothers John and David Kanarr. There will be a private memorial luncheon for the family on Saturday, October 22.
