HELEN TREMAIN FARR Helen (Terry) Farr died peacefully January 6, 2017 at George Washington University Hospital, attended by her brother. She was born May 9, 1937 to Emily Anderson Farr and James M. Farr of New York City. Ms. Farr attended Bryn Mawr College and studied for her Doctorate in Economics at the Johns Hopkins University. She taught briefly at Mount Holyoke College, worked in banking in New York City and eventually moved to Washington DC where she served as an econometrician for the Federal Reserve Board. In1987, she received the Special Achievement Award from Board of Governors, presented by then Chairman, Alan Greenspan. She is survived by her brother, James M. Farr of Saco, Maine; her nephew, Jon M. Farr of Hollis Center, Maine and her grand-nephew and niece, Max and Ella Farr, also of Hollis Center, Maine.
