Helen Marie Huxley Dycus February 3, 1927 ~ December 31, 2016 Resident of Richmond, CA Helen was born in Winnetka, CA in 1927 and she died in Richmond, CA. She was the second child of Al and Amy Huxley. Her sister Barbara was the first born. Her brother Kenneth Huxley survives her. Helen and her husband Bob were married in June 1951. They established their home in Richmond, CA. Their marriage was blessed with four children: Fred (Tracee), Peter, Delia (Rob) and Jim. They provided 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Helen lived a life of service and love. Besides her magnificent accomplishments as a wife, mother and matriarch, she taught kindergarten students for 31 years and Sunday School students for 27 years. Helen was an excellent musician. She sang in the church choir and played her flute as a member of ensembles and for church services. She was a long-time member of Club Mendelssohn. She loved her fellow members and the music they produced and enjoyed. We will have a Celebration of her life at St. Luke's United Methodist Church, 3200 Barrett Avenue, Richmond, CA at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 28, 2017.
