Hazel I. Mink
Hazel I. (Dillner) Mink, 97, of Indiana Township, died Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2017. Born June 9, 1919, in Pittsburgh, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Irene (Bonin) Dillner. She was the beloved wife of the late Clarence J. Mink; loving mother of the late Clare J. (Teresa) Mink; sister of Earl and Howard Dillner and the late Harry, Herman and Elmer Dillner and Ruth Black; mother-in-law of Cheryl Mink; cherished grandmother of Todd J. (Sherri Bauman) Mink, Renee (John) Sapida and Jessica (David) Simpson; and great-grandmother of Kayla, Tyler, Jackson, Hadley, Gabi and Seth. Hazel worked as cafeteria manager for Fox Chapel Area School District for more than 30 years in addition to working with St. Mary School on Middle Road in Glenshaw. After retirement, she continued to work as a greeter and clerk for Wal-Mart on Route 8. Hazel loved spending time at their family camp in Pymatuning, bowled until the age of 96, enjoyed playing cards and was active with ANCA Group in West Deer and the West Deer Senior Citizens Center. Family will welcome friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at SCHELLHAAS FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES LTD., 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday in Trinity United Church of Christ, 3712 Saxonburg Blvd., Dorseyville, with the Rev. David Mears officiating. Interment will follow in Dorseyville Cemetery.
