Harry J. Hubbell
Hubbell, Harry J. 90, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at Susquehanna Nursing Home on Saturday, February 11th. He was predeceased by his parents, Carl and Stephie Hubbell, and by a brother, Andrew Hubbell, all of Johnson City. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Carol; three children and their spouses, Nancy (Stephen) Pekera of Alabama, Karen (John) McClure of Virginia, and David (Iris) Hubbell of Mexico, NY. Harry left seven adoring grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was a member of "the greatest generation", an Eagle Scout, a member of the U.S. Army Artillery, a graduate of Clarkson College, and a 32 year employee of IBM, where he served as an environmental test engineer on computers used in the U.S. Space Program. He was a member of St. Vincent DePaul Church, and lived a life of faith and honor. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, at 12:00pm, noon, at the Barber Memorial Home, Inc., 428 Main St, Johnson City. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 11:00am until the time of services at the Barber Memorial Home.
