In memory of
Drinkrow, Harriet 9/26/1924 - 4/16/2017 Burton On Easter Sunday, heaven gained the sweetest soul ever to grace this earth. Harriet Maxine (Childs) Drinkrow passed away peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her loving family after several weeks of home hospice care. At 92, she was ready to go. Her age required her to slow down, and she never could get used to the idea. Ma never put herself before anyone else, and even told us how sorry she was for all the work it caused taking care of her these last few days. Everyone who met her fell in love with her. She was a darling. She was born on September 26, 1924 in Rankin, MI, but lived most of her life on the farm in Burton where she raised her family. She was the second-eldest of eight children, and only her two youngest sisters survive her. She joins our dad, Robert W. Drinkrow, and our brother, Steven H. Drinkrow, who passed along before her. Ma is survived by 6 children; Linda (Dudley) Smith, Suzanne (Mike) Matusik, Kathleen (Doug) Sasse, Robert (Susan) Drinkrow, Elizabeth Settlemyre, and Barbara (Bernadette) Drinkrow. Ma and Dad have 19 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren, so far. She loved us all. Babies were her favorite things. Her smile and her twinkling eyes could light up a room. She was the best cook ever. She loved to laugh and did so often. She could dance the Charleston and it made your heart fill with joy to watch her. She was a wonderful mother, with a loving heart and a generous soul. I'm not sure how we're going to go on without her. She will be forever missed. Rest now in peace, you sweet little girl. We will love you always.
