Sperry, Harold Robert Harold Robert Sperry, age 92, a 35-year resident of Napoleon Michigan, passed away peacefully Friday morning, January 13, 2017. Originally from Toledo, Ohio where he worked for Owens-Illinois for 22-years as an Electrical Engineer. After retirement in 1983, Harold moved to Little Wolf Lake. He enjoyed his pontoon boat and the fellowship of his neighbors and family activities on weekends. Harold was a decorated WWII Veteran serving in both Normandy and Okinawa, plus a proud 70-year member of American Legion Society. Harold was preceded in death by his wife of 40-years, Delores P. Sperry. He is survived by his children, daughter Carol (Ross) Buckingham of Toledo Ohio, their sons Mark and Jeffrey, and four great-grandchildren. Daughter Karen (husband Lloyd Fields) Sperry of Cincinnati, Ohio, and their son Ben. Son, Dr. Ken Sperry of Oklahoma City, wife Chris and their children, Elaine, Libbie, Ted and Jay. After retirement Harold enjoyed world travel with longtime companion Cathy Schilling of Lake Colombia. Together they traveled extensively including Europe, Far East and many trips to the Caribbean. Harold is remembered for his willingness to help, enjoyment of technical projects, and ever-present smile and friendly wave. A private family service will be held at Roseland Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion, Walter Weller Post 135, 2404 Sylvania Ave., Toledo, OH 43613 or the Wounded Warrior Project.
