Harold G. Frace
Harold G. Frace, 84, of Pen Argyl, formerly of Easton, passed away Sunday, October 16, 2016 in Alexandria Manor, Bath. Born September 13, 1932, in Bangor, PA, he was a son of the late Willard and Irene Featherman Frace. His wife of 42 years, the former Irene Bartosh, died January 16, 2002. Harold retired from the City of Easton where he worked for 27 years first in the Sewage Treatment Facility and later in the Codes Office. He graduated from Bangor High School in 1951. Harold had been a Cub Scout and Boy Scout leader for Troop 27 at Calvary United Methodist Church for twelve years. An avid golfer, Harold was the assistant golf coach at Notre Dame High School for six years. He was a dedicated member for over 40 years of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, formerly St. Bernard's, where he sang in the Senior Choir and Bereavement Choir. Surviving is a son, Michael E. Frace, of Whitehall; three daughters and a son from a previous marriage, Jean Sagliani and her husband Anthony, Kathy Wismer and her husband Frank, and James R. Frace, Sr. and his wife Billy Jean, all of Phillipsburg, NJ, and Joanne Sterk and husband Gary, of Easton; two brothers, Chester Frace, of California and Donald Frace, of Summerfield, FL; a sister, Isabelle Tilton, of Bangor; sixteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, John H., who died in 1988; a brother, Willard Frace, two sisters, Wanda Karp and Ruth Chamberlin, and his companion, Theresa "Tess" Anascavage. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am Friday in Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, 132 S. 5th Street, Easton. Call Friday 9:30-10:30am in the church. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson Borough. Offer online condolences at www.strunkfh.com .
