Harold "Hal" Ferrell Jr.
Ferrell Harold "Hal" Ferrell, Jr., 67, lost his battle against cancer on October 13, 2016. He fought courageously for over ten years, never giving up hope that he could beat it. He was born on August 13, 1949 in Lima, OH to Harold and Evelyn Ferrell. Hal is preceded in death by his parents, sisters Joan and Janice, father-in-law Jess Manner and mother-in-law Rosemarie Manner. He is survived by his wife, Beverly Ferrell; daughters, Sandee (Chuck) Shafer and Nicole (Frank) Wise; grandchildren. Alec and Carly Shafer' and last but not least his faithful companion, Vincent. Hal will be greatly missed by all including many other family members and friends. He generously donated his remains to the Body Donor Program at Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine. His gift will play an important role in scientific research and in the education of future physicians. Family and friends will share memories and celebrate Hal's life the way he would have liked at an informal gathering at The Blind Lady Tavern, 22 E. Mound St., Columbus, OH on Saturday, October 29, 2016 from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations to the Fairfield Area Humane Society, fairhumane.org
