Harold Thomas Biggs Benton,LA- Harold Thomas Biggs of Benton, LA passed away October 11, 2016, at home under hospice care after a long battle with P.O.E.M.S. Syndrome. He is survived by his wife, Judy Beth Biggs of 52 years and two sons, Thomas Alan Biggs and Dale Alexander Biggs and two sisters, Mary Patrick and Emma Wilkinson and nieces, Catherine Roberts and Kristin Wilkinson. Five grandchildren are, Sandy Cox, Dustin Biggs, Seth Biggs, Beth Biggs and Nelson Beasley. Two Great Grandchildren are Preston Cox and Chance Biggs. He is preceded in death by father, Harvey Biggs and mother, Catherine Biggs, and, two brothers, Bill Biggs and George Biggs and sister, Vera Calhoun. Harold was born in Detroit, MI on March 14, 1942, graduated High School in Pittsburgh, PA. in 1963. He completed Electrical Apprenticeship training in Shreveport, LA to become a Journeyman Electrician with the I B E W 194 for over 50 years. Harold was an avid fisherman and competed in the early B A S S Tournaments. He and his wife, Judy Beth, became interested in Shetland Sheepdogs in 1978. He expanded his love to this breed of dogs to handling them and other breeds professionally at Dog Shows. He and his wife have operated a small boarding and grooming business for many years to the present day. Harold has been a loving and caring husband, father, friend and neighbor. He was baptized in 1963 and has worshiped with several area Congregations of the Church of Christ over the years. He is currently a member at the Airline Drive Church of Christ. The family wishes to thank his caregivers at Southern Care Hospice, specifically Belinda Montgomery, Brenda, Anita and Sheila. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM at Airline Drive Church of Christ Small Chapel on Sunday, October 16, 2016, at 2125 Airline Dr., Bossier City, LA 71111
