In memory of
Gwendolyn Sue Ulmer Morce. Sue Morce died January 6, 2017, surrounded by her family. She was born January 16, 1934, at home on the family farm in Mesilla Park, New Mexico. Kind, intelligent, beautiful and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Sue was raised in the upper valley as a member of the farming community. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and the Eastern Star. Sue had an engaging laugh, phenomenal sense of humor, and loving heart. She delighted in sharing her southern cooking with everyone including the doves that flocked to her doorstep every night. She loved history, museums, multicultural music and dancing, gardening, and sharing family memories along with her life story. She attended Valley High and San Jacinto College. Sue was married in 1955 to the love of her life Johnny Morce and, although preceded in death by him, remained faithfully married, wearing her wedding rings for the rest of her days on earth. She is preceeded in death and now reunited eternally with her loving husband John Albert Morce, her mother Ruth Hughes Ulmer, father Wesley King Ulmer, sister Dorothy Ann "Dotty" Ulmer and brother Nolle Adam "Toby" Ulmer. She is survived by her daughters Dorothy Ann Collins and Patricia Sue Morce Cofty (Brett), grandchildren Rebecca Maris, Jessica Collins, John Collins, and Lacey Joy Michelsohn, and great-grandchildren, Timothy Maris, Kaitlyn Collins, Julianna Hunter, Jacob Collins, Ashton Collins, Shane Collins and her brother Wesley King "Don" Ulmer, as well as many extended family members and friends. Sue was an elegant Southern lady, generous and eager to help, gracious and compassionate. She lived her life to the fullest and will be missed so very much by all who knew and loved her! Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at Martin Funeral Home West, with a graveside service to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park 8700 Dyer St., El Paso Texas at 2:00 pm. www.martinfuneralhomwest.com
