LEDINGHAM, Gordon DDS, 1925 - 2016 Lifted off to his next adventure on September 27, 2016. He passed due to natural causes at age 91 in Tucson, Arizona. He was surrounded by his loving family. Gordon was born in Portland, Oregon. After three years at the University of Portland he studied dentistry at the College of Physicians and Surgeons in San Francisco. He joined the Navy's Dental program and served as a Naval Dental Officer at Bethesda, Maryland, Great Lakes Naval Dental and finished his service at Camp Pendleton, California. He was the youngest dentist to pass the board in Arizona at the age of 21. His goal was to make fine dentistry available to all people and with his innovative marketing and philosophy of inclusion he served many people. He opened offices in many states and practiced in San Diego, California, Port Angeles, Washington, Phoenix and Tucson, Arizona. Gordon created a family of eight creative children and had so much fun adventuring with them. He flew his World War II Beechcraft C-45 all over the Southwest and particularly loved landing on dirt strips in Baja, California. He and his family boated, fished, skied, camped, surfed, snorkeled and flew from British Columbia, Canada to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. He loved to garden and always grew the biggest artichokes. The adventures with him bring smiles to all who participated. He is survived by the love of his life, Colleen, his wife of forty-three years and their children, Lilia, Elizabeth, Kevin, Dave, Bret, Gordon, Larry and their families, including 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Gary. All who knew him were inspired by his integrity, his great mind, his powerful intention, his zest for living, his love for all and his always positive being in the moment. His presence was memorable and joyous. Arrangements by BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL. He will be greatly missed.
