XENIA — Goldie Audrey (Baker) Entsminger, age 92 started her eternal journey peacefully on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Pristine Nursing Home, Xenia, Ohio. She was born on March 22, 1924 to the late Sherman F. and Lerellen (Ervin) Baker in Cedarville, Ohio. In addition to her parents, Goldie is preceded in death by 3 brothers and her beloved husband of 38 years, David Edward Entsminger. They were married on November 27, 1942 and he started his eternal journey on August 6, 1980. Goldie leaves behind ten children: Edna, Nancy, Frances, David, Ruth, Dan, Donald, Harold, Janet and Chris; 31 grandchildren; numerous great and great-great grandchildren as well as her brother, Donald. Goldie was very devoted to her faith and was a member of the Senior Citizens Center, Golden Age-Jamestown, and the Red Hat Society. A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at Jackson Lytle & Lewis Life Celebration Center, 2425 N. Limestone, Springfield, Ohio from 11:00 am until her funeral service begins at 12:00 noon. Burial to follow at Massie Creek Cemetery, Cedarville. The family would like for memorial contributions for Goldie to be forwarded to the funeral home to offset expenses. The family would like to thank the staff at Pristine Nursing Home and Hospice of Dayton for their loving and compassionate care of Goldie but as well as their support to the family during this difficult time.
