In memory of
Gloria Carpentieri
Carpentieri, Gloria Gloria Rita "Glo" Carpentieri Gloria Rita Carpentieri (Nee Gamiello) continued her journey peacefully on October 13th, 2016 at home surrounded by the love of her family. Born in New York City July 5, 1935 to Carmine Rossi and Concetta Rose. She met her soulmate, Angelo in 1959. They were married next year. Angelo and Gloria's love and affinity is the basis for their 48 years of marriage and a foundation for the family they created together. Gloria joins her first born daughter, Susan Rita, and beloved husband in heaven. Survived by her loving children, Carla Carpentieri-Heiser, Angela & Keith Pickford, John and Carmela Carpentieri. 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Gloria's beauty and strength has touched many lives, sometimes without even knowing. She created time and unique relationships across our family tree, and close friends. Her house was always open. We enjoyed her delicious cooking and the resonating laughter. She was wife, mom, aunt, confidant, sounding board and friend across many circles. Gloria is the glue that solidifies our family- central to of each of our universes. Her driving intention was to keep our family together. She will be sorely missed. Our saving grace is knowing Gloria and Angelo are watching over us. They are together again, dancing through the galaxy- watching over us. Visiting is Sunday from 2-4pm and 7-9 pm at Assumma-Shankey Funeral Home Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, 10am, St. Anthony's Shrine, Nanuet, NY. Assumma-Shankey Funeral Home N.
