Glenna Charlene (Tubb) Johnson LUBBOCK-Glenna Charlene (Tubb) Johnson, 79, of Lubbock, Texas, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2017, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 13, 2017, at Forrest Heights United Methodist Church in Lubbock with Rev. Doug Hensley officiating. A graveside service will follow at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 13, 2017, at Decker Cemetery in Nolan County, Texas, under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home in Sweetwater. A family visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 12, 2017, at Forrest Heights United Methodist Church, 3007 33rd St. Lubbock, TX. Glenna was born July 2, 1937, in Nolan County, Texas, to Melvin and Inez (Hipp) Tubb. She married Ray Arnold Johnson on July 14, 1956, in Blackwell, Texas. She was a graduate of Blackwell High School in 1955. Glenna has resided in Lubbock the past 60 years and was a member of the Forrest Heights United Methodist Church. Glenna worked 25 years as a Personnel Administrator for the Lubbock ISD. She loved quilting and working on Genealogy. Surviving her are her daughter, Sheryl Jane Spore and husband, Chris of Midland; son, Kurt Russell Johnson and wife, Shelley of Ringgold, GA; brother, Joe Tubb and wife, Debbie of Lubbock, Texas; three grandchildren, Whitney Sink and husband, Ryan of Ringgold, GA, Kailey Jane Barfield and husband, Russell of Ringgold, GA, Barrett Johnson and wife, MeiLing of Salt Lake City, Utah; two great-grandchildren, Emaline Jane Sink of Ringgold, GA and Bennett Sink of Ringgold, GA; three nieces, Ceason Childress and husband, Drew, Bailey Brundell and husband, Christian, and Jacinda Hansen and husband, Tim; and nephew, Ryan Tubb. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Arnold Johnson in 2012; her parents, Melvin Tubb in 1995 and Inez Tubb in 1992; and a brother, John Robert Tubb in 2009. Pallbearers will be Chris Spore, Ryan Sink, Russell Barfield, Ryan Tubb, Ceason Childress and Bailey Brundell. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Wesley Sunday School Class at Forrest Heights United Methodist Church.
