ATHENS - Rev. E. Glenn James, 82, of Athens died Saturday evening, Oct. 8, 2016 at Willow Brook Christian Home, Columbus. Born July 15, 1934 in Port Arthur, Texas, he was the son of the late Ernest Duthy James and Ola Mae Carpenter James. He retired as pastor of the United Pentecostal Church in Athens. Rev. James is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Melinda and Andy Smith of Terre Haute, Indiana; his son, David James of Delaware; two grandchildren, Emma Smith and John Smith; and a brother, Woody (Mary) James of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Carol James in 2012. A private family graveside service will be conducted Saturday afternoon at Athens Memory Gardens. Family and friends are invited to a memorial service on Tuesday, Oct. 18 at 7 p.m. at the New Life Christian Center, 2642 Columbus-Lancaster Rd., Lancaster, Ohio 43130.
